02. the Message -- The Mayan Temples

So the 7, 4 and 13, as scholars have translated the Tomb of Inscriptions, is explained as a 364 day year.


7 x 4 x 13 = 364


and while the sum of days is one of the accurate year numbers (364, 365 and 366) and while there are indeed seven days a week, four weeks a month and 13 moon months a year and while this does match the Mayan concern for the reproductive system, I believe these numbers point to a different message about the Ancient Mayan.

But to continue....
Here is why the math for the year number of 364, simply makes more sense matching the pyramid of Chitzen...


It has four sides, 91 steps a side so the math is
4 x 91 = 364 ... and I will show you why this makes perfect sense.

The main attraction is the central pyramid, also known as El Castillo, this spectacular, massive Mesoamerican step-pyramid that dominates the Chichen Itza archaeological site in the Mexican state of Yucatan.  Built by the Maya sometime between the 1000 and 1200 AD, El Castillo served as a temple to the god Kukulkan and is believed to have served as a calendar.

The calendar number of 364, matches the build of El Castillo... and this is a natural state of the addition when using their sacred 13 numbers....


Not to say that the math of 7 x 4 x 13 = 364 isn't correct, it certainly is... but I think Pacal's message for it was another meaning...


Learning to Count


The physical build of El Castillo shows the very obvious and basic maths and measurement methods.


Let's take a look at why...
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 = 91 El Castillo has 91 steps per side

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 = 91 and 91 is the sum of any first 13 things added
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 = 91 so by four sides, 91 steps amount to
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 = 91 = 364 'steps'

and for the measures taken, there must have been someone standing with two feet and two hands at the 'center'... so the position of 'one', I will call 'Surveyor'...


and when we start adding up from position 2, the sum becomes 90

X + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 = 90

X + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 = 90 = 360


360 'Tun' (days), as well as 90 degree and four of them = 360 degree, like the circle measures we use today also.  And so the number 4, can also be a '360'


Make sense? and like our measures of time ... multiplying each  sum by four, produces 360 in each row
X + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 = 90 x 4 = 360 Tun
X + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 = 90 x 4 = 360 Tun
X + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 = 90 x 4 = 360 Tuns...
X + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 = 90 x 4 = 360 = 1440


The sum of these four Tun, is 1440 'days' which also happens to be, the same number we use as 'minutes in one day',  in our modern time keeping................360 x 4 = 1440


in other words...
four, Mayan Tun, contain 1440 'days




and this means 
forty Mayan Tun contain 14400 days
and this means 
four hundred, Mayan Tun contain 144000 days... which is also called One, Mayan Baktun.  The coincidence of a 400 year Gregorian cycle, will make more sense later... showing this small 'coincidence', now.


Check the simple math on it yourself.


This is the state of matter and what we can touch.  
And an angle... while maybe not of type angel, useful all the same, to human kindness.


I don't think December 21, 2012 is at all an 'end' date but rather a marker of communication.  A beacon perhaps...


I should also make a note, the pyramid El Castillo has nothing actually to do with Pacal's burial site as it's known today, from what I read anyway. This however, is the perfect place to show the base of how and why the Mayan might use the numbers they do in their maths and also in their structures... perhaps why Pacal pointed here also.


And it would make sense that most people could understand a message like this because it's quite 'physical' and easy to see....

360 is the number under 500 that can be factored the most different ways... So here is the answer that has perplexed me so long. Why does the "gear" in the second position of the long count, the katun, use 18 instead of twenty like all the other positions? Because he power of 360 creates the most creativity and the most possibiilities!

The Katun, Mr. Jaguar is simply 7200 days... they used 18 to show us the 'power' in between as 2
18.2.20 = 720

Here we go dear...

1872000 days / 18 = 104000

1872000 days / 180 = 10400

1872000 days / 1800 = 1040 = 260 x 4

"short version" but you should get it right away. ;) and then certainly as simple as pi ... 5 x 52 = 260 ... might even be a monday thru friday and check out this very other obvious thing... 52 x 2 = 104 Saturday and Sundays in a 364 day year also... "Venus.ish"
